Social-geographical bases of research territories with critical ecological situation (CES) in Kyiv area are studied and development basic directions of their effective using. Theoretical and methodical bases of research territories with CES are opened; principles and factors that causing occurrence territories with CES are defined; methodical essence of researching territories with CES are developed; factors that causing occurrence territories with CES in Kyiv area are analysed; geospatial organization territories with CES in Kyiv area is studied; regions of Kiev area with CES were grouped; basic directions of effective using territories with CES are defined.
