On the basis of diagnosis and treatment of 99 children aged from 2 weeks to 14 years with large airway obstruction of different etiology its mechanisms, pathogenesis of respiratory distress in unilateral lung aplasia were studied. The basic pathologic factors of tracheal instability syndrome were systematized. The diagnostic algorithm and tactics of treatment of children with large airway obstruction using aortopexy, tracheoplasty and diaphragm translocation were developed with due regard for pathologic mechanisms. The new methods of operations mentioned above were developed and their clinical efficacy was estimated. Field – medicine.
