Вurachok L. Osyp Nazaruk's (1883-1940) public and political activity.

The activity of the famous political activist, publicist, writer of the first half of the XX-th century Osyp Nazaruk is researched in this dissertation. Evolution and formation of Osyp Nazaruk's outlook has been analyzed, his first political steps in the students' movement and his participation in Ukrainian Radical party has been characterized, his apolitical activity during the First World War as well as state building work in Naddnipryanshchyna and Western Ukraine as a member of the Government of Ukrainian People's Republic and West Ukrainian Republic has been depicted. His role in consolidation of political forces of Western Ukraine and his attitude to attempts to find Ukrainian-Polish understanding has been explained.
