The object of study – landowners economy in Kharkiv province in the second half of the XIX – in the beginning XX centuries. The purpose of study is study of a place of landowners economy of one of pre-revolutionary Ukraine province - Kharkiv - in the second half of the XIX – in the beginning XX centuries. The methods used in the research are: historical-comparative, statistical, typological, logic, generalization, induction, deduction. The practical value of work consists in use of the received results by preparation of generalizing works on a history of the Ukrainian village, social groups of the population of Ukraine, by preparation of the textbooks and manuals on a history of Ukraine. The dissertation is devoted socio-economic evolution landowners economy in Kharkiv province in the second half of the XIX – in the beginning XX centuries. The evolution from estate to class is shown on the basis of a wide range of sources and literature.
