Essay

Object is a selection of new selfpollinated lines of corn on the base of early-maturing lines of embryonic plasma Lacaune, adapted to the steppe conditions of Ukraine. The purpose is the increase of adaptive potential of selection material of corn, related with Lacaune plasma and the estimation of new selfpollinated lines. Methods - a method of field researches. A method of topcross in the study of combination ability of selfpollinated lines. Analysis of economic signs variation. Novelty - is a first proved possibility of early-maturing corn lines, creation crossed with Lacaune plasma adapted to the conditions of steppe zone, with a complex of valuable features: drought- and heat resistance, low humidity of grain of harvest. Results are the achieved on the basis of Lacaune plasma lines with a high general combination ability, drought- and heat-resistance, included in the further selection process to achieve widely adaptive early-maturing hybrids. Two hybrids of corn were included in the State registerof sorts of plants: Cremin 200 CV and Surskiy MV. Chemerovetskiy 260 CV, Podolskiy 274 CV, Avias 277 CV, Bestseller 287 CV were admitted as perspective. Area of use is agriculture.
