Karmazina N. The Development of the Historical Study of Local Lore in Crimea (1954-1991 years)

The object is the history of the development of the historical study of local lore in Crimea in years of 1954-1991. The purpose is complex reconstruction of this process. Based on a comprehensive corpus of archive materials, data of the press, works of local lore researchers, the evolution of forms and methods of local lore work was studied, causes and factors influencing activization of local lore studies on the peninsula. The research gives an objective estimate of the role of the compilation of the Crimean volume of "The History of the Cities and Villages of the USSR" in the activization of Crimean studies. The significance of the of the state and public museums of Crimea in the popularization of the history of the native land among all the groups of the society is presented. In the work recreates the formation of the system of protection of the historical and cultural heritage in Crimea, as well as the history of the activity of the Crimean organization of the Ukrainian society for the protectionof historical and cultural monuments. An analysis is given of the series of measures of Crimea's state authorities and public organizations for monitoring, study and preservation of historical and cultural monuments.
