The thesis is submitted for the Candidate of history Degree on spezialty 07.00.01. - History of Ukraine. - Kyiv-Mohyla National Akademy, Kyiv, 2006. In the dissertation the political relations of Russia and Ukraine in 1659-1668 years are explored. This period is studied as the first stage of Ukraine's political integration into Russian state through the lіmіtation of its autonomy by tsar's government and active Russian interference to the internal affairs of Ukraine. The divergeance of the parties' opinions concerning the development of their relations. This work clears out the factors that influenced their nature, enlightens the main vectors of Moscow policy concerning Get'manschyna, its influence on the flow of events in the region, the methods used by tsar's government for achievement of its political aims. The contract articles of 1659, 1663, 1665 are also analysed in dissertation, as well as the circumstances of their signing and their consequences for the relations of Russia and Ukraine. The role of the Ukrainian party in the limitation of the Zaporizhyan Host autonomy is discovered as well. The mechanism of connection between Moscow and Ukraine is investigated through enlightening of the corresponding Moscow orders and voevodes activity. Special features of Russian administration's stay in Get'manschyna are shown.
