The thesis is devoted to the problem of diagnostic of pupils’ achievements in education system of Great Britain. Main components of assessment’s system and modern methodic approaches to assess of pupils’ competences are described. Features of Standard Assessment Tasks in Great Britain are investigated. Using of experience of Great Britain some practical recommendations on construction and application of achievement test are devoted.
