Essay

The objects are the word and separate lexical-semantic versions, which ones belong in Russian to actualized thematically and temporally limited lexicon. The aims are to study and to describe the semantic mechanism of Russian lexicon actualization on the material of one-volume defining dictionaries. Methods are analytical-descriptive, comparative analysis, component analysis. In this paper the role of the newest defining dictionaries in the reflection of dynamic changes of the vocabulary is characterized; the term "actualization" and the importance of this process as the basis of other dynamic changes which took place in the lexical system of the Russian language in the end of the 20th century are defined; the process of redistribution between active and passive stock of words of the Russian language is investigated; semantic changes in the vocabulary of above mentioned actualized groups on the level of the semantic structure of a word as well as on the level of semantic components of a separate meaningof a language unit are analyzed; the fixation of these changes in modern one-volume defining dictionaries is observed. Spheres of use are the training courses and lexicographic practice.
