Dombrovska S. Development of Higher Education in Kharkov in the period of temporal liberalization of totalitary system (in the second half of 1950s – the first half of 1960s of XX c.)

The object of study – development of higher education in Ukraine in the second half of 1950s – the first half of 1960s of XX century. The purpose of study is to investigate a higher school in conditions of temporal liberalization, to analyze influence of democratization processes, which occurred in a society in the second half of 1950s - in the beginning of 1960s, on situation and development of higher education. The methods used in the research are: problem-chronological, statistical, descriptive. The practical value of work consists in use of the received results by for preparation of the textbooks and manuals on a history of Ukraine, at reading of special courses. In the dissertation on the basis of a wide circle of sources the process of reforming of higher education is investigated in the period of temporal liberalization of totalitary system on an example of high schools of Kharkov.
