The Subject is the alimentary anaemia among piglets. The Purpose is a theoretical and experimental substantiation of application of the complex of organic compounds of trace elements for the treatment and prophylaxis of alimentary anaemia among piglets. The Methods are clinical, the microscopical research of morphological blood structure, biochemical, atom-absorbing, statistical methods of treatment of the results. The Novelty is that for the first time in the development of a new antianemic treatment-and-prophylactic drug, the complex approach was used, including: the use of trace elements of synergetic action in metabolic processes, the influence of organic compounds of microelements on intensity of the processes of metabolism in an organism of piglets taking into account the peculiarities of a biogeochemical zone. The complex researches concerning studying of clinical, hematological and biochemical parameters among both healthy and sick piglets of the alimentary anaemia were carried out and also concerning the influence of a complex of organic compounds of microelements in conditions of deficiency of mobile forms of copper, zinc, a cobalt and iodium in the environment. For the first time, for modelling the anaemia on laboratory animals, the condition of artificial hypobiosis and the technique of a puncture of an abdominal aorta were used. Application of the drug "Sulactoferan" which structure includes organic compounds of iron, copper, cobalt, zinc, iodium, to sick piglets by alimentary anaemia, accelerates the process of convalescence of animals due to the long action of trace elements on the process of hemopoiesis, normalizes and improves metabolic processes in an organism, stimulates the growth of piglets. The scientific novelty of the researches is protected by the Ukrainian patent. The outcomes of the researches were included in the normative documentation: the patent of Ukraine № 3270 "The veterinary drug "Sulactoferan" for treatment and prophylaxis of an alimentary anaemia among piglets,Technical specifications and Instructions of the State Scientific Research Control Institute of veterinary drugs and fodder additives (Lvov) No TU U 24.4-004937026501-001-2004. The outcomes of the researches can be used in a studying process in such subjects: "The clinical diagnostics of diseases of animals", "The internal diseases of animals", "The vet. pharmacy". The outcomes of the carried researches have been introduced to the farms of Fastiv and Myronivka districts of Kiev region, which have been confirmed by corresponding certificates. The Industry is veterinary medicine, livestock farming, therapy.
