Ph D thesis shows the place and role of secondary pedagogic education in the system of teacher-training preparation, determines factors and conditions, substantiates periods and stages, finds out tendencies of formation and development of secondary pedagogic education in Kharkiv region in the 20th century, summarizes the experience of formation and realization of secondary pedagogic education, characterizes the content, forms, methods and means of teacher-training preparation in secondary pedagogic establishments in the research period, discovers prospects of secondary pedagogic education development. A great amount of new factual information concerning formation and development of secondary pedagogic education is introduced into scientific use with the help of analysis of great many research materials.
