Romanchenko I. The activity of libraries in the formation of the ecological culture of children (second half of the ХХ century)

This dissertation is devoted to the study of the traditions and trends in the formation of ecological culture of child readers by means of library-bibliographic work in libraries for children. The author of this dissertation determined the basic stages and directions of formation of the ecological culture of child readers in libraries for children. The analysis of different forms of library-bibliographic work of libraries for children in Ukraine in the sphere of forming the ecological culture of child readers is given in the manuscript, taking into account the peculiarities of their mental, psychological development and process of maturation. The classification of child readers of ecological literature and directions of satisfying their information needs are offered in the libraries of Ukraine. The historical-comparative analysis of the development of the formation of the ecological culture of children in the libraries of Ukraine and nearby countries is carried out. The prospective model of the activity of libraries for children in the formation of their ecological culture is developed.
