Bilobrovets O. Social and political movement of the Polish of the Right-Bank Ukrain in the 1863-1914

The dissertation focuses on the peculiarities of the Polish social and political movement. On the basis of the data obtained from the archival materials and literature, the paper analyses the policy of the czarist power towards the Polish of the Right-Bank Ukraine after the rebellion in 1863, defines the main trends in the Polish social movement, ideology, forms and methods of the activity of its participants. The conservative, radical and nationalistic trends in the Polish social movement of the Right-Bank Ukraine in the second half of the 19th century are singled out. On the basis of the analysis of the programs and the activity of the Polish political parties formed at the beginning of the 20th century the paper defines their role and place in the social development of the Polish of the Right-Bank Ukraine. The process of the formation and activity of the Polish nationalistic, charitable, cultural and educational organizations, created after bourgeois democratic revolution in 1905-1907, is investigated. Their meaning and influence on the social political life of the region at the beginning of the 20th century are established.
