Kolotylo V. The role of ideology in the process of social changes.

The dissertation is dedicated to the analysis of ideology as a socio-cultural phenomenon and to defining its place and role in the process of social changes. Major conceptual approaches to the analysis of the process of rise and formation are distinguished. They are defined as an anthropocentric vector which sees the rise of ideology from the bosom of mythological conscience and socio-centric vector which fixes the social changes of the New time as a historic field of the formation of ideology. The sources of vitality of ideology which are based on its reproduction as a form and an appanage of the social conscience are signified. The author extends the notion of the structure of ideology as a unity of rationally-irrational components and interdependency of the fundamental and efficient levels. The peculiarities of the cognifin, prognostic, mobilizational, identifying and manipulative functions of ideology are analyzed. The dissertation defines their constructive nature as a possibility to socialize andstructurize the social reality. The dissertation shows up the content and correlation of the state ideology and national ideology, which reflect and concretize the trend of social changes in the Ukrainian society. The thesis observes the peculiarities of making a world-view ideological trend of Ukrainian nation, which are determined in the course of the formation of the political and civil-law culture.
