Mishechkin G. The activity of higher education schools on the training specialists historical profile in 1991-2000

The activity process of the Ukrainian higher education establishments up to preparation of the historians in the 90s of the XXth century was researched in the dissertation on the bases of the wide range of literature and sources. The main changes which took place in normative, material, technical, science and information bases of historians in the indicated period were defined. The measures concerned the educational process were examined and analyzed on the historical faculties and departments of the higher education establishments. The achievements and problems concerning the provision of appropriate faculties and departments with the science and pedagogical staff were discovered. It is emphasized the paramount role of staff provision in the activity of higher education establishments. In conclusion it is maintained that in the period from 1991 to 2000 the valuable experience was acquired to prepare historians but some problems still remain unsolved. Through giving practical recommendations the authorundertook the attempt to decide these problems.
