This dissertation deals with the history of Russian population of Donbass in 1920-1930 for the first time in the Ukrainian historiography. On the basis of a wide range of sources, its quantitative and social structure, geography of localization, the structure of employment, the peculiarities of political-legal status, place and role of socio-economic and cultural region's life are analysed in this work.
