Essay

The object of study – ukrainian national liberation movement in the Beginning of the 20th Century in Galichina and its illumination in the ukrainian press in the Overdnieper Ukraine. The purpose of study is Illumination of problems of national liberation struggle of the ukrainian people in Galichina in the beginning of the 20th Century in the ukrainian press in the Overdnieper Ukraine. The methods used in the research are: analysis, synthesis, comparative-historical, descriptive, problem-chronological, method of periodization, reason-investigation analysis. The practical value of work consists in use of the received results at the further study of a history of Ukraine of the 20th Century, by preparation of generalizing works, development special courses, lecture and practical courses on a history of ukrainian national liberation movement and interethnic relations, and also on a history of national press. This work is dedicated to the problem of development of the Ukrainian national liberation movementin Galichina in the beginning of the 20th century from the point of view of the Ukrainian press of the OverDnieper region (NadDnipjanschina) of Ukraine that was an important factor in the resurrection of the Ukrainian national conscience and unity of the Ukrainian people. It is noted by the analysis of the Ukrainian press that during the 1900-1914 politicization and radicalization processes of the Ukrainian national liberation movement took place as a result of the antiukrainian policy of Polish regional administration. It is discovered how the Ukrainian press illustrated and assessed Polish-Ukrainian confrontation in Galichina, the struggle for the opening of the Ukrainian university in Lvov and for reforming the elective legislation, on the policy of the Austrian-Hungarian government on Polish and Ukrainian people. The complex analysis of the illustration of the results and the summary by the Ukrainian press is given.
