Glagovich M. Laparosthomy and hirudotherapy in complex treatment of peritonitis in children

The thesis is dedicated to solving an important problem - improving the results of treating children for peritonitis. 324 children being ill with peritonitis of various conditions have been under a thorough clinical and laboratory examination. A high efficiency in treatment of peritonitis by perfecting of the known methods and by elaborating and introducing new methods of treatment into a clinical practice as compared with existing ones has been proved. The reasons of prevalence of middle and grave conditions in the structure of children's appendicular peritonitis have been studied. Possibilities of different methods of draining an abdominal cavits have been examined. A comparative analysis of using laparosthomy and hirudotherapy in treatment of appendicular peritonitis of various conditions has been offered, introduced and made for the first time. The influence of laparosthomy upon the number of colony-making units of bacteria and antibiotical resistance of microflora of peritonial exudation at children's peritonitis has been studied. The influence of hirudotherapy on the dynamics of the serum contents of tumornecrotic factor at children's peritonitis has been studied. Due to the usage of laparosthomy and hirudotherapy in the complex treatment of children's peritonitis a high reduction of the postsurgical complications and postsurgical lethality has been gained.
