Essay

In the dissertation the process of formation, enlargement and further development of artistic community of Lviv in the 1730-1770s has been researched. On the basis of archival and published materials the author has collected and systematized a considerable amount of known as well as new data on representatives of the circles of architects, sculptors and painters of the mentioned period. On the example of personalities from the artistic community of Lviv the activity of workshops-guilds on the territory of the city and outside of it has been revealed. The environment of Lviv masters has been analyzed and defined in detail, and their contacts with other artistic centers of Western lands have been determined.
