The pedagogical principles for the professional improvement of the participants’ self-organization in the system of postgraduate pedagogical education are explained in this dissertation. The history of the formation of pedagogical self-organization in the native and foreign pedagogical sciencies is analysed. The terminology of pedagogical self-organization is explained and the term “ pedagogical synergetics” is defined as the theoretical base for the exploration of pedagogical self-organization problems in postgraduate pedagogical education.The model of improvement of teachers’ pedagogical self-organization at the refresher training courses is theoretically based and experimentally checked. The self-organizational pedagogical model in terms of the activity of the Institute of Post-Graduate Educational Studies heightens the efficiency of organizational influence on four blocks (content, axiological, technological, methodological) of formation of modern teacher’s pedagogical competence. The main resultsof the research are introduced into the system of the activity of the regional institutes of postgraduate educational studies in different regions of Ukraine.
