Essay

The dissertation examines theoretical and methodological principles of geographic and area studies of the populating processes in North Bukovyna. The peculiarities of settlements creation and settlement network forming in (from the Paleolithic to the end of the XX century) are revealed and the retrospective-contemporary organization is improved. Morphometric analysis of the settlements in the region is performed.The dependence of the settlement population temporal dynamics on the mediated total populating energy is studied.
