Goncharova N. National Political Movement of Student's and Pupilage's Youth in Ukraine (90-ties of the XIX-th - February 1917)

The dissertation is devoted to problem of the formation and social development of Ukrainian students' and pupils' associations at the end of the XIX-th - at the beginning of the XX-th centuries. On the basis of the analysis of files, memoirs, materials of periodicals, home and foreign historiography social, political, cultural and educational prerogatives of activation of Ukrainian youth in the 90-ties of the XIX-th - February 1917 are investigated in the thesis. The students' associations and pupilage participation in public life, in the struggle for national independence, their cultural, educational and charity activities are presented in the dissertation. Ukrainian student and pupilage movement developed on the basis of the struggle against the reactionary politics of the czarist government at the educational sphere at the end of the XIX-th century. There were different forms of the student and pupilage movement in the 90-ties of the XIX-th century: reactionary teachers' boycott of lectures, participation in prohibitive meeting, petitions, manifests. The movement acquired antigovernment nature at the beginning of the XX-th century. The new forms of protest diffused, for example: strike, street demonstration. Thus, youth is an important constituent part of our society, especially students' associations and pupilage. Their activities often come out as an efficient factor of social political changes.
