In the thesis principal causes of occurrence of the Ukrainian orthodox church movement in 1917-192l th are analysed. Political circumstances which have caused features of its historical development are determined. Dynamics and regional features of expansion of this historical phenomenon are investigated. Features of the organization and functioning of the Ukrainian orthodox parishes, which functionated in Ukraine during 1919-1921 th are discovered.
