Essay

This thesis is a complex historical research into the place and role of the women of the Donbass region in the social and political life during the years of Khrushchev’s “thaw”. The questions of the problem under study have considered in the thesis for the first time. These questions haven’t been property dealt with in the scientific literature. The main directions of women’s participation in the social and political life of the Donbass – a large industrially developed region of Ukraine – have been analyzed on the wide selection sources. Their representation in the full numerical strength of communists and their participation in the party organizations of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, in the bodies of state power – Deputy Soviet, public and amateur organizations.
