Essay

Genetic differentiation of spring barley Hordeum vulgare L. has been investigated by alternative biochemical characteristics: reserve grain proteins - hordeins, isoenzymes of alfa- and beta-amylase. By means of electrophoresis in the acidic PAGE 28, 32 and 4 allele variants of hordein coding loci of Hrd A, Hrd B and Hrd F have been identified, respectively. The cohesion between hordein markers and gluteline loci has been found out. It has been shown that the genetic control of alfa-amylase is carried out by 12 variants of Amy 1 and 4 - Amy 2 loci, while the control of beta-amylase is realized by 3 alleles of Bmy 1 locus. Allele of Bmy 1 locus which determines the best malting properties of spring barley has been found out. The relationship between allele isoenzymes variants and the characteristics of barley productivity has been shown.
