Yakovchuk A. The social-geografical analysis and modeling of sustainble development of transboundary territories (on example Slobozhanshchina Euroregion)

The need to study world (European) experience and research of specific local prerequisites for sustainable development of territories of various hierarchical levels, in particular inter-regional transboundary is very topical on modern scientific research in Ukraine. Results of the present research are the complex social-geographical analysis and elaborated models of sustainable development of new Ukrainian-Russian Slobozhanshchina Euro-region (created in 2003), which, according to the Agreement on transboundary cooperation, covers two boundary areas (Kharkiv and Belgorod Oblasts) of the contiguous states. The obtained results are introduced into educational-and-research process of the Karazin Kharkiv National University and also act as the real analytical & informational catalyst of strategic administrative decision-making on actual problems of sustainable development of investigated transboundary territory.
