Mykhail'uk M. Agitation and propagandistic activity of the German occupation authorities among the population of Ukraine (1941-1944).

The thesis analyzes agitation and propagandistic activity of the German occupation authorities among the population of Ukraine in 1941-1944 on the basis of a wide range of sources. The place of psychological war against the population of Eastern occupied territories in pre-war strategy of Third Reich is determined. Organization and specific character of the functions of central administration of agitation and propagandistic work of German occupation authorities in Ukraine are revealed. The competence of occupational administration in the sphere of psychological war is shown. The author reveals the duties of the propaganda departments of the local authorities and the functioning of publishing and printing system, radio and cinema network in Ukraine. General amount of periodicals which were published on the territory of Reich commissariat and military zone of occupation is defined. The measure of efficiency of agitation and propagandistic efforts of occupation authorities both by means of separate methods (periodicals, radio and cinema, small printed production and fine art) and in general is clarified.
