Vasylyk I. Social and political activities of Kost’ Levytskyi (last quarter of the ХІХth century - 1918)

Object: social and political activity of Kost’ Levytski in the last quarter of ХІХ – in 1918  in the context of social and political realities of that time East Galicia. Aim: to find out a place and role of Kost’ Levytski in political history of East Galicia in end of ХІХ – began of ХХ, to explore basic directions of his social and political activity and their intercommunication and on that ground to draw more wide conclusions about the Ukrainian political elite of that time. Methods: historiography analysis, system-structural, problem-chronologic, historical-situational, comparative. Results: quite a bit material in the scientific appeal from the archives of Vienna, Lviv, Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk is entered, scalene activity of Kost’ Levytski is considered in the context of realization by the Ukrainian elite of the complex program of the political strengthening of Ukrainian national movement.
