Loboda M. Use of a manpower in restoration of the heavy industry of Ukraine (1943-1950)

For the first time in a domestic historical science the complex research concerning attraction and employment of different manpower categories in restoration of the heavy industry's branches of Ukraine has been made using the huge sources basis. These categories include: local population (women, children, teenagers, older persons), mobilized according to labour mobilization and behind system of organizational involvement, demobilized from Red army, prisoners of war, the interned and mobilized Germans, the repatriated Soviet citizens, prisoners of the system of Ministry of Internal Affairs. An attempt to display the operating life conditions and everyday life of reducers has been made. As a results of research the author has come to the following conclusion: the authority used all possible activities with the purpose to attract to regenerative process as much labour force as possible, not trying to improve their life and work conditions.
