Genetic and demographic processes among the population of Cherkaska Oblast were characterized. Negative changes were detected by comparison of different generations newborns' weight and height. The incidence of birth defects among newborns, endocrine pathology frequency among pregnant women and its influence on the genetic load were characterized.
