Dissertation is devoted to study development of the sphere of the high education in the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic since 1965 till 1985 - undoubtedly one of very important and structural units of spiritual and cultural life of Ukrainian society, during contradiction historical period of the XX century. Political, social, economical, spiritual, pedagogical, demographic, other peculiarities of this sphere and the society in which it existed and developed were investigated on diversified base, using variety of sources.
