Essay

The dissertation deals with the scantily explored and gnosiologicaly important problem. The attempt was made to analize the peculiarities of functioning of child care institutions of the UkrSSR of war and postwar period on the grounds of a great deal of archival materials. It is for the first time in the historical science of Ukraine that child care institutions were explored in accordance with their status of functioning. The focus of attention is the legal basis and organizational provision of the work of the given institutions.
