Khoma I. Military formation of Sichovi Striltsi of Naddniprianshchyna in struggle for the Independence of Ukraine in 1917-1919.

The Dissertation is a complex research of creation, formation and activity of Sichovi Striltsi military formation that fought for the independence of Ukraine in 1917-1919. The author studied and analyzed historiography and sources of this problem; he described the organization of commanding bodies and structural development during the activity of formation within different Ukrainian armies. He paid much attention to the ideology of this formation which was based on the idea of unification of all Ukrainian lands into one state. The dissertation includes the analysis of all military and political processes in which these riflemen were involved, their participation in the First Ukrainian-Soviet war, Second Ukrainian-Soviet war and the battles against Russian White forces general A.Denicin.
