Essay

The peculiarities and character of the permanent "hybrid war" of the Russian Federation against Ukraine in the economic sphere are analysed, two periods of covert / open aggression are singled out, the Russian-Ukrainian DIME-conflicts are characterised, among which the following are emphasised: "gas wars"; "transit wars, trade sanctions," food wars". Much attention is paid to the expansion of Russian capital, which has become one of the basic methods of the Russian Federation’s "hybrid war». It is shown that the neo-imperial component of the Russian Federation's foreign policy in the economic sphere was an attempt to block Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic integration and involve it in the supranational entities that were created in the CIS under the auspices of Russia. It is noted that the geopolitical interests of the aggressor country were to preserve the foundations of economic unity of the former Soviet Union on the basis of its energy system and cooperation in the economic sphere. It has been proven that Russia is trying to prevent a decrease in Ukraine's dependence on Russian energy, creates obstacles to Ukraine's access to alternative gas sources, and blocks the diversification of oil and gas exports by Central Asian countries.
