Essay

Dissertation concerns the creation of semi-solid medicinal form, the ointment named “Phimostin”. It is dedicated to therapy of phimosis. For the first time, basing on the analysis of physical-chemical, biopharmaceutical and microbiological research results optimal ointment composition was grounded and its technology was developed. Ointment quality indices and methods of their determination were suggested. Ointment properties and storage stability were studied. Preclinical tests were performed. This ointment is suggested for local treatment of phimosis and its complications – balanopostits and some other illnesses.
