Essay

The object of study – voluntary and involuntary memorizing of text. The purpose of study is to reveal peculiarities of the voluntary and involuntary memorizing of artistic and popular-science text by the men and women, taking into account their gender-role characteristics. The methods: methods of the empirical tax of a material (questionnaire S. Bem (BSRI), methods of the quantitative and qualitative analysis of reproduction of a text material, methods of definition of the statistical importance of distinctions: criterion fi* - angular transformation of Fisher, t-criterion of Student. Novelty: specificity of memorizing of different genres texts of the men and women for the first time is opened and the features of memorizing depending on their gender -role characteristics are revealed; the representation about a parity of voluntary and involuntary memorizing of a text material are revealed - is extended of gender feature; the representation about sensitivity of the texts of different genres to genderdistinctions is extended. The theoretical value of work: the features and parity of voluntary and involuntary memorizing of the texts of different genres are opened and the influence of the gender-role characteristics on their memorizing is revealed. The practical value of work consists in an opportunity of use of the received results for diagnostics masculine and feminine in diagnostic and advisory practices, which are based on memoirs, stories and other text material; at professional selection; in practice of the social teachers, psychologists, other experts at a choice of style of a statement of the information, which is subject to memorizing by an audience with determined gender characteristics. Efficiency of the introduction - high. The sphere of the use: higher educational institutions, psychological services.
