Essay

The dissertation is devoted to studying food policy, which was carried out by the governments of Hetman Pavlo Skoropadskiy. The author analysed the historiographic and source basis of research. The complex analysis of food situation in Ukraine in the spring of 1918 has been fulfilled in this work, as well as the reasons of deterioration the situation on the food market have been clarified. The principle directions and means of overcoming the food crisis have been identified; the main governmental measures directed to stabilizing the food supply of the country population have also been analysed. It has been studied in what way and how effectively the regulation of the food market in Ukrainian State was, as well as the reasons and circumstances, which influenced negativly the regulation policy of Hetman's authorities in the above-mentioned field have been analysed.
