Glavatska O. The person in the word-formation system of modern Russian (substantive derivative lexicon of ’person’)

Object – modern Russian nouns with value ’person’. Aim – to describe modern Russian nouns with value ’person’ of the affixal derivativeness, from positions of the semantically-grammatical approach. Methods: – the descriptive-analytical method; method of word-formation synthesis; oppositional, transformational methods; quantitative method; method of continuous sample. Novelty: The case of such derivatives from positions of the semantically-grammatical approach is revealed for the first time and their complex synchronous description is submitted. Word-formation values and means of their expression are allocated; the units of semantic relativeness types of motivational pairs are established; the special attention is given to the phenomenon of plurality (nonuniqueness) and synonymous.
