Essay

This dissertation is a complex research of scientific – pedagogical and public activity of an academician M. Kashchenko. The main directions of his activity and the place and role of a scientist in a branch of biological science and medicine at the end of XIX- and at the beginning of XX centuries were analyzed in it. This work analyzed a degree of investigation of this problem in historiography, the level and completeness of its scientific–theoretical thinking and the source of its providing. The biography of the scientist has been investigated from his personal fund; the bibliography of life and M. Kashchenko’s creation.
