Romanova T. Seed productivity of late head cabbage when using fertilizers under conditions of the left bank forest steppe of Ukraine.

Object: regularities of forming the high level of late white head cabbage seed yield and quality. Aim: increase of seed productivity and raising the seed quality of cabbage. Methods: field, laboratory ones. Novelty: there are determined regularities of forming the high level of late white head cabbage seed yield and quality; worked out a method for the increase of high qualitative seeds output from an area unit; types of seed plants branching are studied depending on methods of fertilization; dependence is revealed between a seed bush architectonics and plants productivity; carry-over of nutrients and coefficients of their use are defined; preservation of varietal, and main economically-valuable signs of cabbage is determined when using seeds, obtained with application of fertilizers. Results: there are worked out technology elements (kinds, doses, methods and terms of fertilizers application) for cabbage seeds growing, which ensure the increase of the yield (in 1,6-2,0 times), seed quality (varietalpurity - up to 100%, germination - up to 99%), saving of fertilizers (up to 50%), as well as optimization of the soil nutrition regime. High economic efficiency of the worked out elements is tested under industrial conditions of Kharkiv, Chuhuiv and Bohodukhiv regions of Kharkiv obl. (increase of the yield - in 1,7-2,2 times, net profit - in 1,8-6 times, the profitableness - up to 105%). On the basis of the all round analysis of the obtained results there are worked out methodic recommendations for fertilization in white head cabbage seed growing, and an application has been handed in for the invention.
