Sorokopud O. Prognostic factors of the community-acquired pneumonia clinical course and assessment treatment efficacy

Object of research - community-acquired pneumonia. The purpose - to propose the diagnostic criteria for prognosing clinical course and assessement community-acquired pneumonia treatment efficacy. Methods of research clinical, laboratorial, instrumental, microbiological and statistic analysis. Results - the community-acquired pneumonia clinical course was analyzed. It was revealed high frequency of hypocholesterolemia, which was associated with severe clinical course, higher C-reactive protein level. Hypocholesterolemia, significant C-reactive protein increasing, low level of cholesterol low-density lipoprotein and apoprotein B are unfavourable for a community-acquired pneumonia clinical course. Treatment efficacy was assessed by inflammatory syndrome and lipid metabolism tests. Complete convalescence associated with decline of inflammatory syndrome tests and increasing to normal total cholesterol. Area of application - pulmonology, therapy.
