Essay

The thesis is devoted to various aspects of German colonies' sovietizations in Ukraine in the 20-ies-30-ies of the XX century. The author determines the mechanisms of political and ideological influence of bolshevik power on the German population, describes the dynamics of changes in bolshevik government national policy, regarding the German population and presents his own point of view concerning the process of Germans-colonists' sovietizations and the stages of its realization. One of dogmas of soviet power in Ukraine is dethroned: it is the myth about providing of national and cultural interests of the German population, political and legal guarantees for equal development of Germans population in all spheres of social life as one of the major achievements of socialism. Such issues as the economic aspects of German colonies existence and some processes of real destruction of traditional German way of living by the bolshevik regime, social and legal conditions of life, sovietization and forced "involvement" of the German population in active participation in building socialism, some attempts to search for ways to overcome the crisis in international relationship and the like are analyzed. Some peculiarities of transformation processes in national German educational and cultural institutions with the purpose of total political influence on cultural and spiritual life of German colonists and propaganda of bolshevism ideas are investigated. The dissertation includes conclusions about the policy of "taking roots" and impossibility of its practical carrying out. The reason is in the national German culture which is characterized by its national identification and becomes one of the factors of national consciousness is creasing.
