The dissertation deals with a study of the peculiarities of the morphogenesis and formation of the ovarian structure during the prenatal period of human ontogenesis. 154 human embryos, prefetuses and fetuses have been studied by means of adequate morphologic methods. The development and forming of topographo-anatomic relationships of the ovaries have been studied for the first time during the whole prenatal period of human ontogenesis. А marked variance of the external structure and the location of the ovaries in prefetuses and in fetuses has been established, the periods of their accelerated and delayed growth have been determined. Asymmetry of the ova-ries and their correlation on the basis of the mor-phometric parameters has been estimated.
