The functional role and basic properties of the systems of Na+- and Н+-dependent Са2+-efflux from liver and heart mitochondria have been investigated. Na+- and Н+-dependent Са2+-efflux from mitochondria are carried out with participation of inner membrane ionic exchangers with the transporting stochiometry 1Са2+ : 2Na+(2H+). Na+- and Н+-dependent Са2+-efflux from mitochondria is the temperature-dependent processes. Efficiency of mitochondrial exchangers inhi-bition by the metals cations depends on their physico-chemical properties Translocation of ions by mitochondrial exchangers and its inhibition by metals cations is correlated with their interaction with the oxygen-containing groups of ion-transporting centers of these systems and accompanied with the processes of dehidration-hydration of metals ions.
