Teixeira J. Surgical treatment of surgical diseases of greater gastrocolic omentum in children

Object - diseases of greater gastrocolic omentum in children; aim - to improve results of treatment of diseases of greater gastrocolic omentum in children by means of development of therapeutic diagnostic approach and improvement of conservative and surgical methods; methods - acquisition of anamnestic data, results of objective examination; clinical laboratory, immunologic, specially equipped, statistic investigations; newelty - leading ethiopathogenetic mechanisms in development of primary omentitis in children have been determined for the first time, lymphahematogenous tract of infection in primary omentitis has been proved, classification of secondary omentitis has been developed, clinical manifestations of different forms of secondary omentitis have been determined, high informativity of ultrasonography and Doppler scanning in the early detection and possibility of usage of ultrasound for monitoring has been substantiated, approaches to conservative and operative methods of treatment of secondaryomentitis have been individualized, indications have been determined and technique of surgical treatment of secondary omentitis has been developed, character of primary tumorous lesion of greater gastrocolic omentum in children has been studied; results - suggested therapeutic approach gives the opportunity to decrease a number of relaparotomies in 40% and reduce number of development of secondary omentitis from 4% to 0,5%;Introduced - in medical practice, in educational process; branch - medicine.
