Pyvovarenko O. Production development and alcohol sale in Ukraine in the second half of the XVII - XVIII century.

The development of distillation and alcohol sale in Hetmanshchyna is fully investigated for the first time in Ph.D. Thesis. A complex of significant topic questions is analyzed: the main internal political situation of tsar's and hetman governments with regard to distillation and pot-house business, their causes and effects. Data are given about thorough descriptions, characteristics, and peculiarities of distillation in Hetmanshchyna. It is described in short the distillation source of raw materials and productive forces. Attention is drawn to the potatory establishments infrastructure and existence of different types of properties; the level of competitive struggle is also introduced. It is defined the distillation and pot-house business yield not only for individual men of properties, but also for the state. Attempts are made to analyze the taxation evolution of these businesses. It is dealt with the influence of distillation and pot-house business on the labour-market formation.
