The dissertation is dedicated to a study of the pecu-liarities of the development and formation of the structure of the oral region during the prenatal period of human ontogenesis and new-born. 140 preparations of human oral region were studied using the adequate morphologic methods. The time of laying and peculi-arities of early development of structures of oral re-gion were studied, taking into account the morpho-genesis of the walls of oral region and adjacent struc-tures. The dynamics of shape and size changes of oral region structures was studied for the first time, also the stages of intensive and delayed growth were de-termined. The critical periods, morphologic grounds and periods of possible development of congenital anomalies were figured out.
