Fedchuk A. Geospatial organisation of the Antarctic tourism

In the dissertation the human-geographcal concept of the Antarctic tourism functioning is formulated. The specific factors of the forming and the territorial development of tourist activities in Antarctica are analysed. It is discovered the essence of regional recreational conversion process. It means involving nontourist infrastructure into Antarctic travel industry. The regional specific sector-belt-like territorial structure of the Antarctic tourism is well-founded. The classification of sites visits is worked out and their importance as objects for on-site management is indicated. The tourist potential of the Ukrainian Antarctic Vernadsky station area is scrutinized. It is worked out the package plan to provide the national tourist policy in accordance with the Antarctic Treaty System.
