The dissertation is devoted to the analysis of organizational-legal aspects of activity of the nature protection Office of Public Prosecutor in Ukraine. The place and role of the Office of Public Prosecutor in system of the state bodies which carry out nature protection functions are considered, the characteristic of the legal status of the nature protection Office of Public Prosecutor is given, and the purpose and problems of its activity are analyzed. It is paid much attention to problems of public prosecutor's supervision of observance and application of the legislation on environmental protection, questions of representation by the nature protection Public Prosecutor of ecological interests of the citizen or the state in court, investigations of crimes against the environment, coordination by the Office of Public Prosecutor of the actions of law enforcement bodies on struggle against ecological criminality are investigated. The essence and maintenance of the work organization of the nature protection public prosecutor is investigated.
